[X][X] [THE STRUGGLE OF THE SHI‘IS IN INDONESIA] [X][X][X] /// ABSTRACT [X] /// This study is concerned with the Shi‘is in Indonesia and their position as a minority Muslim group within the overwhelming Sunni majority, and the ways in which they act to gain recognition in the country. In analysing this, the study employs the theory of stigma proposed by sociologist Goffman in that the stigmatised group tend to adopt strategies that fit into social system dominated by the majority. While Sunnism has become a norm in the Muslim world, Shi‘ism is considered ‘abnormal’ and the Shi‘is have to implement strategies in order to gain recognition from the Sunni majority. Despite the lack of data, it is certain that the Shi‘is constitute a very small minority among Indonesian Muslims. Even though Shi‘ism has been evident in Indonesia in the past, the majority of the Shi‘is are actually converts from Sunnism following the victory of the Iranian revolution of 1979. Different groups of Shi‘is can be identified in Indonesia: the Arab descendants (one of the most significant elements), Qum alumni, and campus graduates. The relationship between them has been a complex one. While all three share a common objective and they tend to cooperate with each other, disputes have coloured their relationship. As a consequence of the difference in background among the Shi‘is, there is no single person that is recognised as the top leader by all of them. The leaders can be classified into two groups: ustadh and intellectuals. As a distinct denomination within Islam, Shi‘ism has a complex set of beliefs and practices which set it apart from Sunnism. This includes the belief in imamate and justice, the Mahdi, the practice of Ja‘fari jurisprudence and aspects of Shi‘i piety and the implementation of taqiyya (dissimulation of faith). In their struggle for recognition, the Shi‘is carry out da‘wa, education, publishing, and socio-religious organisation in which taqiyya is implemented. One of the most important achievements of the Shi‘is is that their gaining legal formal recognition of IJABI (Ikatan Jamaah Ahlul Bait Indonesia) form the Ministry of Home Affairs even though it experiences rejection and criticism from many ustadh of Qum alumni. Furthermore, there have been negative responses to the existence and development of the Shi‘i group in the forms of varied activities such as publishing, preaching, seminars, and appealing the government, besides moderate attitude of eminent Muslim intellectuals that protect the existence of the Shi‘is as a minority religious group and this is said to pave way for the spread of Shi‘ism in the country.

Quran is DIVINE and there is NO EXPIRATION for any of it's Verses/ Sign Symbols. No Verse/ Sign Symbol in the Quran is limited to a certain/specific time-space dimension/s, each represents a LIVING example [people are unable to decode due to the limits of their Level of intellect and because there is a range of intelligence in a certain conscious creature, we have to talk to them based on their level, each one of us is limited by the degree of our intelligence, inspiration, involvement, inclination, introspection, inquiry, investigation, interrogation... etc], so basically and actually, each and every Sign and all the Symbols in each Verse of the Last Revelation [Quran] becomes evermore relevant and LIVE and is never outdated, as we all progress and move on towards our own individual and collective cosmic change/ transcendental transformation.

When you read the Quran in High Voice, nice voice; you manifest beautiful rhythmic recitation/ tones, you are able to understand better[...].

We realize that the Shiite Tradition has been hated by other sects from all schools of thought [though that is potential in some cases and manifest in others due to opposing Leadership that is bent to exalt personalities that are NOT Allah's appointed Authorities but are presented as such, so, it is inherit in them to oppose Shiite Islam, no matter how close they claim closeness to the truth, inherently they serve the Open Enemies of Imam Ali and That is the Real Unveiled Truth that they deny, many are programmed/ deeply conditioned... brainwashed into this mindset and need help to be released from the mind control of few control freaks who oppress these masses and forbid them to sit or talk to Shiites because they fear the secrets they try to hide will become evident, after all, the Divine Love of Bibi Fatima and Her Holy House Hold cannot coexist with the demonic love of their enemies in the same heart, once people know the truth they will not abandon it, but many are suppressed from gaining conviction by certain scholars who love enmity with Shiites] and that is why much of our books and traditions were burned or not allowed to openly convey. Right after the prophet and even during His Holy Life some enemies of God prohibited the true tradition [may Allah curse those enemies of Allah and Allah's Pure Perfect Prophet plus Progeny], for example all the Friday Sermons from His Holy Life are not available[...] .

All the Chapters/ Verses... Sign Symbols in the Quran are tied to Mohammad & Al-e Mohammad [but the enemies (of the Shiites) are furious that we tie them to these Holy Personalities; basically they get desperate to deny the truth simply because they can't comprehend/ contain That Truth; in their hearts is an ever expanding dis-ease]. Allah doesn't accept Your worship unless You recognize Allah's Appointed AUTHORITY. All your services/ worshiping [all the good that you do/ did in your life; all the goodness done over the span of your lifetime (...) doesn't reach it's full potential, it exists as a weak existence without Knowing the Imam, You loose the potential to know Your Higher Self... etc, and so, in a way, in some sense/s... it all] goes to waste without accepting Allah's appointed authority/ Prophet plus Progeny; The Master of Time in Your Age/ the Era that You live in[...].

All the creation exists to Know Prophet Mohammad; Everything is created/ broadcasted from His Light and that is why Allah Loves all creation [exception are those who abandoned Mohammad and Al-e Mohammad and denied Allah Appointed AUTHORITY]; for the sake of His Beloved; it is through Him that Allah choose/ created... broadcasted each/ every existent... everything. Paying allegiance to Prophet Mohammad is paying allegiance to Allah; this is a continuous and a LIVING process [it is STILL going on]; those who have truly given allegiance to Prophet/ Allah [and Allah's Appointed Authority; Ali and Al-e Ali/ Divine Successors] they are not like those Hypocrites who show something but inside they are not believers, they pretend to be Muslims but deep down they have no conviction, their faith is artificial/ make-belief... wannabe; that's why they become apostates because they [their hearts] didn't and cannot comprehend/ contain the truth in the first place [they suffer from dis-ease/ heartache... etc].
