[perception/interpretation by F from original Farsi]
No I am not roaming aimlessly
around the streets and bazaar I am a lover searching for his beloved
God have mercy on me
I am walking around troubled
I have done wrong and sinned
and am walking around wounded
I have drunk the wine of desire
and am strolling around beloved
Though I may seem drunk
I am quite sober

Role of Women; Beyond & Greater than "just a normal life" At times we say that the intellectual level of our women is very low and hence the scholars should deliver only the simple and preliminary talks to them. This perception is an insult to women. You, the women should be aware about the current affairs of the Muslim world. It should not be that you are so busy within your kitchen and household chores that you are unaware what is happening round you, in your city, in your country, and not aware about the system in which you are living. The women who went to Karbala and delivered the message of Karbala afterwards, also had homes with kitchen. They could have also made excuses and done kitchen work only, but they decided to go shoulder to shoulder with the men in Karbala. Religion has not restricted women at any place. Infact, the women have a very specific role which can be delivered ONLY BY THEM. Do not sit unconcerned. You should be aware about the world you are living in and the happenings around you. Do not think or say that you have nothing to do with this governmental system and you want to live a normal life. You might not be having any concerns with this system , but this system definitely has serious concerns about you, and will surely impact you and hence you HAVE TO adopt preventive measures. If the wife of Zohair-ibne-Qain would not have been present with him in his journey, things would have been different for him. He was the supporter of the third caliph and was not a supporter of the mission of Aba Abdillah(A.S). It was his wife who reformed him and changed his opinions. After this reformation he got listed in the names of the martyrs of Karbala and that too amongst the leaders. This is the great courage of this woman who made her life partner reach such a high divine status and all this was because she realized, was concerned about the system and felt her responsibilities! Being an educated and practising woman, you can enlighten generations! So do not just live a normal life, aim and strive to live the life of the real supporter of the mission of the religion! The mission of Karbala! The mission of Prophet Muhammad(S.A.W.W), Ali(A.S), Hassan(A.S) and Hussain(A.S), the mission of Lady Zahra(S.A) and Zainab(S.A)! And for that, you have to practice in your daily life what they preached. You will have to sacrifice many of your desires and pleasures for this divine mission.. When you are in or outside your homes, at your workplaces, at your educational institutions, in your functions and gatherings, in your appearance, in your actions, in each and every aspect of your lifestyle... the divine mission should be the guiding force for you... The divine mission to get included in the army of the master of the time, Hazrat Imam-e-Zaman(atfs)! |

Sayings of Sheikh Muhammad Taqi Bahjat .
1-Caution:
“If we do not prevent ourselves from committing sins then this will lead us to reject, deny, and ridicule Divine Signs – or even to despair from Allah’s mercy!”
2-Taking Joy in Worship
"Acts of worship have the capacity of giving joy. However, we perform acts of worship as if there were a whip above our heads and in fear of hell-because they are obligatory and that if we do not perform them our fate will be hell. It is as if acts of worship were a sour medicine which we must take because we cannot be healed otherwise. However, taking joy in worship in the worldly life is a possible matter.
3-Divine Bounty Does Not Cease
“We are not earnest in appealing- for divine bounty has never- and will never- cease!”
4-Allah has created man in a manner [through which] he can reach a rank higher than that of angels and attain the ranks of Prophets and Saints through sincere servitude. Seeing Allah in this worldly life is possible on the same basis of seeing Him in the Hereafter. The Commander of the Believers (peace be upon him) answered one who asked him if he had seen his Lord: “I would not worship a Lord I have not seen!”
5-If we only knew that the uprightness of our faiths and worldly lives depends on adhering to the teachings of the Prophets and their successors and on holding firm to the Holy Quran and the Household of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his Household).
6-It is not expected of us when performing deeds of worship to move a mountain from its place! The most difficult act of worship is ‘Night Prayer’ which is actually only changing the time of bedtime and does not mean not sleeping at all! You go to sleep half an hour before your bedtime in order to wake up half an hour before you usually wake up.
7-The reason for all of these afflictions and calamities which are befalling us is because we are not thanking [Allah] for [His] favors and we are denying them!
8-Prayer is the most sublime moment to meet Allah, to be summoned, and to be in His presence.
9-What a vast difference there is between the prayer of one who is truly praying and concentrating [on his prayer] and the prayer of one who is performing the same movements of a person who is praying and is only a similitude of one offering prayer.
Of course such a person has fulfilled his religious responsibility and is spared from punishment, but such a prayer does not have the effects and the attributes of true prayer.
10-Some clerics ensured the livelihood of their children through counseling them to pray on time or to offer Night Prayer.
11-A Sacred Hadith states: “Fasting is for Me and I reward it” which means that Allah grants His reward without an intermediary – in addition to what has been mentioned in the Holy Quran and the Sunnah.
[Allah says in the Holy Quran]: {No person knows what delights of the eye are kept hidden (in reserve) for them as a reward for their (good) deeds}
which means that [the reward for fasting] is indescribable.
12-Every person should contemplate himself and find a way to connect with Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his honorable emergence) and to discover his personal relief – notwithstanding whether the emergence of the Imam were soon or distant!
13-Even though the connection with Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his honorable emergence) and personal Relief is a choice which we achieve by our wills –contrary to Emergence and General Relief- yet why do not we care for how to form a connection and a relation [with the Imam]?
Why are we heedless of this issue and only care for his Emergence and meeting him?
However, if we do not care for reforming ourselves in order to achieve our Personal Relief then there is fear that we might flee from him when he emerges because we are proceeding along a path of those who do not distinguish between what is important and what is more important!
14-The role of the sun is to shine even if it were behind clouds, and likewise Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his honorable emergence) is concealed from us with the veil of Absence.
“If we do not prevent ourselves from committing sins then this will lead us to reject, deny, and ridicule Divine Signs – or even to despair from Allah’s mercy!”

Get up! do not sleep! we have come close.
We have already heard the dog and the rooster of that neighborhood. By God they were signs from the village of the beloved; All the flowers that we grazed on. Get up! do not sleep! it is daytime. The morning star has risen and we see the footprints. It was night and the whole caravan was locked up in a caravanserai; Get up! for we have rid ourselves of the dark and of the prison. (Divan 1480:1-2, 8-9)

You are in love with me, I shall make you perplexed.
Do not build much, for I intend to have you in ruins. If you build two hundred houses in a manner that the bees do; I shall make you as homeless as a fly. If you are the mount Qaf in stability. I shall make you whirl like a millstone.
